How do I get a bankruptcy to not show on a credit report, for potential employers?

My husband and I filed for bankruptcy in June of 2010. Is there a way to have our credit reports not show the bankruptcy, for potential employers and such?

  1. Frank is Back says:

Very, very few employers even check your credit so don’t worry about it too much. And if they do check your credit just be prepared to explain. If you suffered a job loss or huge medical bills then just explain it. Bad things happen to good people.

No, there is nothing you can do to have it not show.

Nope…not a thing..the bankruptcy is a public/court record. Credit bureaus are in business to report just such items.

  4. Trinity Baker says:

Nope, best you ask if bankruptcy is going to be an issue. Not all employers really care about the bankruptcy.

NOpe. It will stay there for the next 7-10 years

LOL, no. You did it, you face the consequences.
